Sail with us in a great sailing area and explore new harbors, bays and islands. Leaving Norway behind, the notorious North Sea is challenging even experienced sailors. Our yacht, an Archambault 40 can handle whatever nature will throw at the sailors, guaranteeing thrilling sailing experience.
Once in Inverness, the trip will become milder and more romantic when entering the Caledonian Canal which does follow the "Great Glen" across Scotland. Breathtaking landscapes, peaceful anchorages and historic flights of locks are waiting for the sailors. After leaving the canal behind at Fort William the Inner Hebrides offer sheltered sailing before finishing in Oban.
While the first two weeks are lead by experienced expedition sailor Astrid Zauner, Volvo Ocean Race skipper Andreas Hanakamp is taking charge for the second halve of the trip. While we still explore the wild romantic shores of Scotland the focus lies on perfecting everyone`s sailing capabilities on the way north towards the Outer Hebrides main settlement - Stornoway. Ahjead lie some of the most challenging waters of Europe: The North Minch, Cape Wrath and the Pentland Firth which does lead us back into the North Sea. Along the way, we will catch our breath in legendary Scape Flow, an impressive natural harbour that has been used for centuries by the Royal Navy.

Learn from our experienced skippers who did sail several hundread thousands of miles, raced at the Olympics and the Volvo Ocean Race, crossed oceans and sailed the most challenging sailing conditions.

The challenging area offers sailors good wind, high tides and strong currents.
